WEEE Forum
Six organisations executing non-profit take back systems of Waste of Electrical and Electronical Equipment in five European countries created on April 15th 2002 the WEEE Executive Forum. These organisations were created by industry sectors to fulfil the take back obligations as determined by the actual legislation in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
The WEEE Executive Forum wants to exchange ideas and compare information for its members for the benefit of an excellent execution of WEEE-systems. By providing stakeholders with proper information on these systems they can make soundly based decisions. Also technical recycling standards and result analyses will be carried out. Moreover the Forum is willing to provide experience to other EU countries developing a new system. The first working group is going to develop key-figures for comparison. The Forum is in principle not a political lobbying organisation.
Members of the forum can only be organisations executing non-profit take back system of WEEE supported by the industry sectors in the European countries.
