Are you a producer – guidance

Producers are all companies that manufacture or have electronics or batteries manufactured under their own name. Even those who import such goods into Sweden and make them available on the Swedish market are seen as producers.

You are also seen as a producer if you sell electronics remotely to users in other EU countries. Foreign suppliers within the EU can take over the producer responsibility from the Swedish importer but must then have a legal representative in Sweden, a so-called Authorised Representative.

You are not seen as a producer if you are only a reseller or distributor in Sweden, and do not import products or batteries yourself.
