Integrity and Accessibility

Accessibility

In 2025, a new law on digital accessibility came into force in the EU, which will ensure that websites, mobile applications and digital services are accessible to everyone, including people with reduced vision, hearing, mobility or cognitive abilities.

Therefore, El-Kretsen has started working according to new guidelines and taken measures to improve the user experience on our website.

WCAG

WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are the international basic principles that define how digital content can be made more accessible, and form an important foundation in the Accessibility Act. Here’s how we have worked with them:

Design and features

  • The website can be used with the keyboard alone, without the need for a mouse.
  • Headings, subheadings and body text have a good structure for a screen reader to understand the content.
  • Contrasting colors have been used between text and background to make the text easy to read.
  • The website’s texts can be enlarged without losing or obscuring the content.
  • Functions such as buttons have a consistent appearance, name and location.
  • Linked text clearly describes where it leads.
  • Images, videos, charts and graphics have an alternative description in text, which in turn can be converted to, for example, speech or Braille.
  • Video content has access to subtitles.

Other

  • The website is responsive and works on all screen sizes.
  • The website is accessible and usable in different browsers.

What do you think?

We have had user tests conducted with real users on the website to ensure that we comply with the new requirements, and we welcome feedback and suggestions from you on how you experience the website and its features – regardless of whether you have disabilities or not.
