About Batterikretsen

Starting in 2026, producer responsibility for batteries will be managed by Batterikretsen – a wholly owned subsidiary of El-Kretsen.

Batterikretsen is a wholly owned subsidiary of El-Kretsen. The company is an approved Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) for all five battery categories: portable batteries, light means of transport (LMT) batteries, starter batteries, industrial batteries, and electric vehicle batteries.

From 2026, all companies that previously fulfilled their producer responsibility for batteries through El-Kretsen will instead be affiliated with Batterikretsen. For producers, this means no practical changes – administration, reporting, and collection will continue to be managed by El-Kretsen.

To those who sign an Affiliation Agreement with Batterikretsen AB

In order to offer an efficient and high-quality experience for you as a producer, Batterikretsen AB collaborates with a specialized supplier of administrative services. This arrangement ensures professional handling of, among other things, reporting tools, customer service, contract management and other administrative functions.

The supplier responsible for these administrative services is stated here on Batterikretsen’s information webpage. Currently, El-Kretsen AB is the Admin supplier. The aim is to coordinate Batterikretsen’s and El-Kretsen’s administrative functions, such as contracts and portals, with one and the same supplier. In this way, costs can be kept down while ensuring high quality, efficiency and consistency.
