We help you take responsibility for packaging

Do you want to have your producer responsibilities gathered in one place? El-Kretsen can be your single point of contact for the handling of electrical equipment, batteries and packaging. Through our collaboration with the producer responsibility organisation for packaging, TMR, this is made possible. You get one point of contact and one party for all reporting regardless of producer responsibility.

Producer responsibility for packaging has existed since 1995. As with electrical equipment and batteries, affiliated producers declare the quantities of packaging placed on the market and pay environmental fees. The fees mainly go towards collection and recycling, which is handled by the country’s municipalities. From 2025, El-Kretsen can offer affiliated producers to report their packaging via us to the producer responsibility organisation TMR.

A reporting service that makes it easier for those who have packaging

If your company is affiliated to TMR, you can choose to report packaging quantities via El-Kretsen. If you would like help affiliating to TMR, El-Kretsen can do this for you in the form of an agent.

An annual administration fee of SEK 6,000 is charged for this service. The fee covers the administration required to handle and submit your packaging reports.

How is packaging reporting done?

Reporting via El-Kretsen:

• Your company is affiliated to TMR, affiliating directly to them or via El-Kretsen.
• You report the packaging directly to El-Kretsen in an Excel template. To coordinate this with your current reporting of electronic equipment and/or batteries, we suggest that reporting be done monthly, with the 10th of each month as the last reporting day.
• El-Kretsen reports to TMR.
• Billing for the reporting service is done from El-Kretsen.
• Invoicing of environmental fees and any other fees for your affiliation to TMR is done directly from TMR to you.

El-Kretsen’s Information Centre can help you with questions related to packaging, not just electrical equipment and batteries. What we cannot answer directly, we find out in collaboration with TMR. Our hope and goal for the service is to make it easier for you as a producer through smooth handling of reporting and knowledge about various producer responsibilities directly from us at El-Kretsen.
