Batteries

Are you a producer and wish to become a member of the most efficient nationwide recycling system in the world?
All you need to do is sign the affiliation contracts for batteries and send them to us in two signed copies and you are good to go.

January 1, 2009 the battery directive (SFS 2008:834) was incorporated. This means responsibilities for importers and producers of batteries in Sweden. Producer responsibility means that those putting batteries, in some form, on the market are responsible for them throughout their entire lifecycle. Producers are responsible for taking care of used batteries sold on the Swedish market by ensuring that there is an appropriate collection system. All batteries are included, both those that are built-in and those sold separately. This applies regardless of whether or not the battery has been classed as environmentally hazardous.
